Tapiola Forest Fridays

Our Forest Friday program connects children to nature, themselves and to the group through play and adventure.

Children are given opportunity to build outdoor skills while exploring the streams, fields and forested areas on our 13 acre Tapiola campus.  Through seasonal rhythms inspired by the beautiful boreal forest children are encourage to engage with nature through hands on experiences.

Our program promotes all season adventures which evolve weekly, are group created and provide safe space for risky play.

Through our forest based program children:

–   Experience a deeper relationship to nature and its wisdom

–   Build confidence in their own strengths, resilience and capacities

–   Develop physical and mental well-being

–   Learn to problem solve through exposer to manageable risk

Having high energy days means the children require a substantial healthy lunch and snack to keep them moving. As an all weather program extra clothing is definitely needed.  A full list of suggested gear will be emailed out after registration.
